About Us

“Come to me, all who are weary or burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

We are stronger, together. Thanks in part to regular yoga practices and mindfulness, I am finding healing. Sharing the mind-body-soul benefits of gentle yoga with others is my passion.

In the past 23 years, I practiced many styles of yoga in studios around the United States. For me, yoga is a great way to de-stress and build muscle strength and flexibility. Prenatal yoga helped during my three pregnancies and even during labor and delivery. My yoga practice also serves as physical therapy. I am a disabled Army Veteran. Regular mindfulness practice helps in my recovery from a traumatic brain injury and gives me chronic pain management skills.

My certification in Yahweh Yoga Christian yoga style creates a mind-body-soul connection with yoga that I didn’t find while practicing in gyms. I love practicing yoga with a prayerful intention focused on God. Divine Breath is a translated name for the Holy Spirit.

In 2014, I graduated from the 250-hour yoga teacher training program (YYT-250) from Yahweh Yoga Christian Yoga Teaching Academy in Chandler, AZ, a Yoga Alliance registered school and have earned the designation of Registered Yoga Teacher 200-hour (RYT-200).

Trained extensively in postures and alignment, I specialize in gentle yoga practices. Chair yoga is no joke – you can keep it simple or make muscles quiver doing chair yoga! Plus, I attended a 3-day Sunset Yoga workshop, specifically for working with Senior living residents. In 2021, I certified as an Aqua Yoga instructor.

With safety in mind, I certify through the Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course and carry liability insurance. When practicing any physical activity, listen to your body and consult your physician if you are unsure the activity is appropriate for your health needs.

Founded in Bellbrook, OH, our home-studio overlooked our beautiful wooded yard where Divine Breath Yoga, LLC, began to formally share yoga with others on Sept. 5, 2014. In 2017, we relocated to Cape St. Claire in Annapolis, MD. I started a church yoga ministry (still offered via Zoom), led weekly senior living chair yoga, offered private and small group beach lessons, and have led yoga retreats. During COVID-19, we had socially-distanced outdoor classes in our grassy yard. In 2022, our family moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii and classes will begin as opportunities unfold.

I often say, “have yoga mat, will travel.” I have brought yoga practices to individuals and to groups in North Dakota, Ohio, Hawaii, and the greater Washington, D.C., Fort Meade, Annapolis, and Eastern Shore of Maryland areas. Request your practice now!

Blessings,
